This program is more than just a file recovery tool for Windows. With its help, you can also reset your Windows login password, repair boot or crash issues, back up your entire hard drive, create a bootable recovery CD or USB stick, and so much more.
The application can be used to restore lost data from your local drives as well as various external storage devices, such as USB sticks or memory cards. In my testing, I used the program to find and recover lost files from a 4GB USB drive. It immediately completed the scanning process, allowed me to preview the found files, and restored the selected files within moments.
Another great aspect about this utility is the fact that it enables you to create a bootable recovery CD or USB. The drive can then be used to restore your operating system and files. You can restore the backed up data even if your PC was infected with malware or has occasional crashes.
Two things bother me: the app lacks an option to save scan results for later and the fact that you cannot choose which file types to look for while using the built-in Data Recovery tool.
Still, the program is very efficient and intuitive. Plus, it comes with an affordable price.
